So I looked into the server log and found an error message that the Slim/Plugin/UPnP/Plugin.pm couldn't be located in a bunch of directories that were listed (including /var/lib/squeezeboxserver/cache/InstalledPlugins).

After a server restart that the plugin was listed in the web UI, but it said it couldn't be loaded. I had to checkout the whole server directory because svn gave me an error message when I tried to just check out the UPnP plugin.ДЄlso, I'm not sure I did the installation right: I first tried to copy the UPnP directory into the /var/lib/squeezeboxserver/Plugins/ directory.

Thanks a lot for your help! I got it to work! I installed the 32849 version from the 7.6 branch. Also, you can't have the music on a NFS share because then it will also crash. If you use it on Linux you have to disable Pictures and Video scanning in SBS Settings/Advanced/File Types because else the scanner will currently crash on Linux. What's the state on the 7.7 nightlies? Can they be used already or are they too shaky still?ДЇor a production setup it's too shaky in my opinion. The one from 7.6 should work, I've no idea if the one from 7.7 will work with 7.6.1. There have been a lot of changes in 7.6.1, especially bugs in the scanner, which you want to have, so I'd advice you to use latest 7.6.1 but just pick the UPnP plugin from one of the above sources. In both cases you need to put this as Slim/Plugin/UPnP in your SBS installation. Or latest version from 7.7 (not sure this works in a 7.6.1 installation): Latest version from 7.6 before it was removed: You can get the latest version of Slim/Plugin/UPnP from svn like: R32849 of 7.6/trunk was the last revision that had UPnP plugin, it was removed in r32850. :(ДЄnyone knows where I can still get the latest 7.6 pre-release version which still had the UPnP support? And I just installed the current 7.6.1 nightly build on my squeeplug, just after we got a Linn Klimax DS yesterday (at which point I could use the UPnP feature on the SBS just fine).
